saw a recommendation at "Earthboard"

listening to the 5/8/12/ Blind Tiger show now

and you're right, they should "blow up", but I thought the same thing about Railroad Earth and though they've grown they haven't exactly blown up yet

I don't think "blown up" is the right adjective to use inasmuch they've been at it for over 10 years; seems to me their growth has been much more along the lines of "progressively consistent".

But yes, they've definitely been expanding their fan-base--they've been selling out some larger venues lately & (as you mentioned) headlining Red Rocks in July. I expect they'll sell-out the Boulder Theater show on 7/13, but it'll be interesting to see what the crowd looks like at the Red Rocks show. What's seating capacity at Red Rocks--around 8,000 or 9,000? I'm guessing they'll be lucky to fill it to half-capacity. Hope I'm wrong but that would be my guess.

Seems to me the next logical step in their growth is move up a few slots in terms of the summer festival scene & hopefully start headlining a few.

Here's an oldie but a goodie--first link is RRE (with members of New Monsoon sitting in) and second link is New Monsoon (with members of RRE sitting in).

Been listening to these guys all morning and I'm hooked. Very tight and talented musicians. I see they have a couple Oregon dates. I'm thinking it might be date night for Mrs. Wineland and I the night they are playing with SCI at Hornings Hideout. Corey, if so I'll swing by the tapers section and say hi.
